Knowledge Exchange Concordat Self Evaluation Support

Sealey Associates undertook a University-wide policy-engagement readiness review as part of The Open University’s Knowledge Exchange Concordat (KEC) self-evaluation process for Universities UK (UUK). We conducted over 20 focus groups and semi-structured interviews with academics and professional services staff. In addition we reviewed the OU’s REF submission as well as relevant policies and process documentation.

"Bridget and her team were very attuned to the needs of both Universities and the policy-making sector and the opportunities which currently exist to help researchers make best use of their research outcomes to help inform policy-making and research impact.

"The approach Sealey Associates took was congenial, timely, organized and well-received by professional and academic staff alike, across the organization. OU colleagues were especially impressed with Bridget's sensitivity to The Open University's presence in all four Nations and the opportunities this can bring for a large organisation with a passion for engaged research, teaching and widening participation. It was felt her evaluation and recommendations were spot on."
