Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Dr Bridget Sealey is Sealey Associates Ltd’ Data Protection Officer and is trained in Data Protection. Dr Bridget Sealey will be data controller for all contracts and projects and will be responsible for ensuring that we process the data in accordance with the DPA 1998. As data controller it will be the responsibility of the data controller to ensure that a data processor (e.g. sub-contracted Associate Facilitators) handle research data in conformity with the law.
Training, coaching and project participants
When we ask you for personal data, we will:

- only ask for relevant information
- look after it and make sure it is only accessible to those who need to see it
- only keep it for as long there is a business, statutory or legal obligation
- not to make your personal information available for commercial use without your permission.
In return, we ask you to:
- give us accurate information
- tell us as soon as possible if there are any changes.
We will ensure that we regularly review our adherence to GDPR and our purposes for processing data, ensuring that their is a lawful basis for doing so. In all instances:
- We will check that the processing is necessary for the relevant purpose, and are satisfied that there is no other reasonable and less-intrusive way to achieve that purpose.
- We will document our decision on which lawful basis applies to help us demonstrate compliance.
- We will include information about both the purposes of the processing and the lawful basis for the processing in our privacy notice.
- Where we process special category data, we will identify a condition for processing special category data, and have documented this.
How we protect your data
To ensure data security we will undertake necessary measures to secure training, coaching or project participant data including ensuring that hardware and notes are kept in locked rooms when not in use. In addition we will ensure digital security mechanisms, such as system, program and file passwording, limiting access to shared documents only to necessary users and use of encryption.
